The stereo-pair images on this website are positioned for “cross-eyed” viewing. This means the left image is intended for the right eye and the right image is intended for the left eye. The following process, with some practice, will allow you to direct the images to the appropriate eye without special glasses or other apparatus.

• Center yourself in front of the images
• Place your index finger on the images at the midpoint left-to-right
• Focus on your finger
• Maintaining your focus and attention on your finger, slowly move your finger toward your nose. As your finger approaches your nose, you will notice that a third, blurry phantom image appears behind your finger. This phantom image is a fused stereo image
• Adjust your distance from the image if the a fused phantom image does not appear.
• Relaxing your eyes will allow this blurry phantom image to come into stereo focus.
• With practice, you will no longer need to use your finger to cross-fuse the images.
